Some little sketches and Doodles
Artists like to doodle, I’m no different. It’s a great way to refresh your
artistic juices at work and recharge them giving you the fuel you need to go
back to an assignment that your just not into at the moment and get it finished, perhaps even better than had you just sat at the desk and powered through the
difficult drawing or story point or animation problem. Sometimes the mind needs
a basic reset. Then the Artist Can go back to the business at hand. I liken
it to the times a person will get up from their desk and do some stretching or
take a quick walk readjust their bodies, Eyes we all need breaks and resets each
day, otherwise we may head for a complete brain freeze or what’s called artist
block!! So take a few minutes every so often to rest you artistic thinking and do a doodle or two.

I had the great Pleasure and Privilege to work with Warner Brothers and Renegade Animation for some 3 1/2 years working doing Storyboards and character layout/ Animation Posing of episodes as well as design's for "The Tom and Jerry show" here are a few pose sheets of just a handful of scenes great characters to work with. This show was animated in flash and I did animate in flash at times but more as a traditional animator, not using symbols all that much just hand drawing the poses that would be handed off to a animator to put the Rigg over and follow our posing, I saw some well done animation that was achieved in that software, that years earlier was not so easy to achieve.
That's really much to do with Darrell Vancitters and Ashely Postalwaite who own Renegade and are always reaching for the Best quality that can be had for the time and budget restraints most shows come with.

Curious George Set of Story Boards

Going through some files few days ago and found one page of a Curios George Episode I Boarded for Universal Animation Studios, these were done using small sticky notes and drawing mostly by hand then the dial and notes added by hand as well. I really like working small when I board these drawing each are around a 2 inches long by roughly;y 3/4 inch high.
